AI Pilipinas exists to empower Filipinos through Artificial Intelligence. We believe that the future of AI in the Philippines must be shaped by Filipinos — not just adopted from abroad. Our mission is to make AI knowledge accessible to every Filipino, regardless of background, location, or resources.
Our Story
AI Pilipinas was founded by a small group of Filipino AI practitioners who saw a gap: world-class Filipino talent with limited access to local community, mentorship, and learning resources. What started as a group chat has grown into a nationwide network of thousands of members — students, engineers, researchers, educators, and curious minds united by a love for AI and a pride in being Filipino.
What We Do
Community Building
We maintain one of the most active AI communities in Southeast Asia — online and offline. From Luzon to Mindanao, our regional chapters bring AI conversations closer to home.
Education & Upskilling
We run free and low-cost workshops, bootcamps, and learning tracks covering:
- AI & Machine Learning fundamentals
- Natural Language Processing (especially for Filipino languages)
- Computer Vision
- Responsible & Ethical AI
- AI for social good
Research & Advocacy
We support Filipino AI research, publish accessible explainers on AI policy, and advocate for AI governance that reflects Filipino values and needs.
